Robert has always had a very strong interest in other cultures and countries.
He studied for while at the Ecole Telecom in Paris, France and concluded his studies at the TU-Delft with a master’s thesis at Bell Northern Research in Ottawa, Canada. He married a Hungarian, who spoke only Hungarian and German at the time.
After graduating, Robert moved to London (UK) with her and learnt Hungarian. Based in London, Robert worked at many different places, amongst others in France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and Norway.
After about 7 years, he moved to Switzerland and a few years later moved on the Austria. These years in German-speaking countries enabled him to perfect his German. A few years after that, he returned to his home soil of the Netherlands.
Apart from near-fluency in English and German, Robert speaks a few more foreign languages: French and Hungarian. He is currently learning Spanish.
